Orcistus (pronounced or-KISS-tuss) is a small city in the Viridian province of Attalea Minor, located on the coast of the Phiora Sea at the mouth of the Dragonpeak River. It is the northernmost settlement of significant size in the Dominion. For a brief time in the first century of the tenth millennium, Empress Drusa relocated the seat of Viridian power - including not only her court but the entire senate as well - to Orcistus, so as to be closer to her estates south of the city. Upon her death in Y9031* her successor promptly moved the capital back to Ilirnas. The senatorial estates of the empress' family lie in ruins today, the house long ago having faded to obscurity.
