Fort Solen (pronounced SOLE-in) is a fort within the Viridian capital of Ilirnas. In Y9322* the fort was given to the Viridian janissaries to use as their base of operations.
Located on the north side of Ilirnas, this two millennia-old eight-pointed star fort has been continually upgraded and maintained by the janissaries since they adopted it as their base. It is rumored that tunnels connect Fort Solen to various sites across the city, and that the janissaries use these to travel undetected.
Details about the interior layout of Fort Solen are not known to the broader world. The janissaries refuse entry to all, and none have yet been able to make it past the various magical countermeasures that protect the fort.
