Sarissa (pronounced sah-RIH-sah) is a small fortified city located at the southernmost point on the largest of the Argelean Isles, within the Viridian province of Talliastu. Originally established as a military outpost to watch maritime traffic traveling between the Sea of Ersas and Chaska Sea, the Viridian legions still maintain a presence at Sarissa. From atop the high cliffs the city is perched upon, the griffon-mounted cavalry of the Eighth Legion stand ready to intercept any pirates that may try to attack passing merchant ships.
Sarissa is the southernmost settlement within Viridia.
