The Granicus River (pronounced GRA-nih-cuss) is a river in Viridia that begins in the Tumunzari Hills before flowing north into the Phiora Sea. The river has long served as the border between the provinces of Attalea Major to the west and Casabon to the east.
The largest of the Dominion's shipyards are located in Apamea, at the mouth of the Granicus River, which rely heavily on lumber harvested from the Sotosa Woods inland and floated down the river to the city, at least when the fey of the Woods do not interfere with the logging.
Aside from those in coastal Ertan, the largest tengu settlements in Viridia are along the Granicus River.
