The Sotosa Woods (pronounced soe-TOE-zah) is a large forest in Viridia, in the Thadrian province of Attalea Major. The dense forest has been significantly altered by centuries of logging and habitation, though much of the old growth still remains. Fey and magical creatures are particularly common in the Sotosa Woods.
Besides Tecmessa and Mygdon, there are few major settlements in the Sotosa Woods. Numerous villages can be found in the forest, but outside the two major cities these remain quite small.
The nation of New Sotosa, hundreds of miles to the southeast, takes its name from the Sotosa Woods.
