Animism is a a common form of faith on Kishar in which the spirits of animals, plants, locations, and more are venerated. Animism is widespread and varies greatly in tenets and traditions, but offerings and prayer to these spirits are both common. Animists may worship specific spirits, those important to their local landscape or personal lives, or they may venerate a great many.
On Kishar, animism is practiced in every corner of the world by many diverse peoples, including everyone from the tribes that live in frigid windswept tundra of northern Talgazan to the inhabitants of the hot and humid Laqto Rainforest. While look to shamans to guide their interactions with nature spirits, this is not universal by any means.
As with other nontheistic faiths, some pantheons and religions are accepting of animistic practices, while others are strongly opposed.
