Ancestor worship

From gronkfinder

Ancestor worship is a common form of faith on Kishar. Ancestor worship varies greatly in tenets and traditions, and may include the veneration of deceased close family members, figures within one's community, or cultural or national heroes. These practices can be found worldwide, though in extremely varied and disparate aspects.

Ancestor worship may involve requesting the intercession of the deceased on behalf of the living, as in the case with Thadrian hero-worship, or the reverse, where the living care for the spiritual and material needs of their forebears. Some cultures, like those of many gnolls, center their faith around the physical remains of the deceased, while others venerate their ghosts or eschew any locus of worship entirely, as is the case with many Marcher tribes.

As with other nontheistic faiths, some pantheons and religions are accepting of ancestor worship, while others are strongly opposed.
