Beliefs and followers
The Sunken Star is a deity that lurks beneath the waves. Exceptionally few have ever seen her directly, as to most she appears simply as a bright light below the surface far in the distance - those who have laid eyes upon the Sunken Star report wildly contradictory descriptions. To most this hardly matters. She is said to reach out to sailors directionless and adrift at sea, especially those caught in stormy waves or disoriented on a starless night, after which she directs them towards safety before extinguishing her light and disappearing into the deep waters once more.
The faithful of the Sunken Star have a great many rites and rituals they perform before setting their ships on the waves and while out at sea. Through these they hope to draw the goddess' attention towards themselves should they find themselves in need of her guidance.
Most followers of the Sunken Star hail from Cerca and Phersu - the religion is popular with the aquatic and Zabarshu elves of both nations. Other followers include some amongst the Keleta-Ru, the Fanakara, and the Angareza locathah.
