The peaks are extremely treacherous to cross, as the hazardous and rough terrain, extreme cold, and dangerous creatures combine to form a barrier that is impenetrable to almost all.


Though an uncommon event, qlippoth from the Abyss sometimes crawl out from under the Northern Wall by using the planar tears that appear in the [[Depths]] below. The [[Kalahan]] of the [[Aban Steppe]] maintain a watch for the arrival of these creatures, in order to fight them back and close the portals when required.
