River Archar (pronounced AR-car) is a major river that currently serves as the border between Koritan and Talam Galta. The river begins in the Scrios Mountains to the north before flowing south into the Bay of Dark Skies.
Since Y9962*, River Archar has been the de facto border between Koritan and the breakaway nation of Talam Galta. Both sides maintain regular patrols along the waterway, and small skirmishes sometimes break out between Koritanite inquisitors and battlemages and Talamite militias. Two major cities, Arben and Kartala, lie on the Talamite side of the river - both have declined in population significantly since the Talamite revolution began.
