Katlimmu (pronounced kat-LEEM-moo) is an inland city in within the Eastern Chaskan city-states, though much closer to the Zakros Range than to the Chaska Sea. Located on the western banks of the Areneae River, Katlimmu was once the capital city of a minor orcish kingdom, founded by tribes fleeing the eastward expansion of Viridia in the eighth millennium. Though most of the orcs moved on within two centuries of the settling of Katlimmu, heading further south where they joined with the tribes who would later found Kudurru, many of their descendants still live in the the city and surrounding area. The palace they built straddling the river is still maintained and used as the seat of power for local autocrats.
