Kotharat (pronounced KOH-thah-raht) is a small city within the Eastern Chaskan city-states. Despite its relative isolation in the arid uplands of the interior between River Qes and the Streko River, Kotharat is nonetheless an important stop for merchants traveling between the Arrajan Wilds in the south and Dalbanu in the north. It serves as a place place where they can rest, resupply, and possibly even sell some of their wares to the ghost-dragon The One Whose Nine Wings Are Hidden, an enigmatic figure whose banishment from the Dragon Scars led them to settle in a lair not far outside the city.
Kotharat is one of the few major settlements where the Emissary of the Low Sun has a significant number of worshipers.
