The Wanassa River (pronounced wah-NAH-sah) is a major river in the Western Coast. The river begins in the easternmost part of the Kheldezir Hills before flowing north into the Chaska Sea. The Wanassa River stays at a low water level for most of the year, though it can flood its banks upon the arrival of the spring rains.
Fields of gluttongrass grow along the Wanassa River for much of its route, at least in the parts that aren't forested. Few live near the river as a result, though the larger settlements of Tensha to the south and Precausa to the north are joined by a handful of other, smaller communities.
