Mouru (pronounced MOH-uru) is a small coastal city within the Western Coast. Located roughly 100 miles from Melzi in the west and an equal distance from Sabratha in the east, Mouru is geographically quite isolated, with no other major settlements in its surrounding landscape. The Chaska Sea connects it to the broader world, however, and though the city does not specialize in any particular goods traders nonetheless regularly stop by, if for no other reason than to rest and resupply on their trips along the coastline.
The first inhabitants of Mouru are believed to have arrived from the Akrotirian Isles sometime in the sixth or seventh millenniums, but the exact time is not known. They were long gone before the modern city was established in the early Y9200s, with the only remaining signs of their existence a cluster of stone foundations around the roots of a long-dead lotus tree.
