Armuta (pronounced ar-MOO-tah) is a town in southern Zurhur within the Akrotirian Isles. Led by a benevolent lotus tree and philosopher that calls itself the Quiet One, the people of Armuta live sedate, restful lives, interrupted only by pilgrims passing through while traveling to the Monadist holy grove in a valley to the north. Though located not far from the sea, Armuta does not have any docks, and any who wish the visit the town must travel overland or else disembark while leaving their ships anchored away from shore.
