Locathah are one of the major ancestries found on Kishar. These inquisitive aquatic peoples tend to have a deep appreciation of the seas in which they live.
Appearance
Locathah all have colorful scales in varying patterns and shapes. The details of these vary widely, but usually include coloration that would not be out of place within a coral reef.
Locathah can survive on land as well as within water, yet nearly all prefer submerged lives due to their lack of mobility above the surface.
Location
The majority of locathah live amongst the islands of the Wounds, whether in the many coral reefs near the archipelagoes, in secluded lagoons, or in nomadic groups that wander the Na-Gaesa Ocean. Some can also be found elsewhere, such as within the Chaska Sea of the Three Great Seas.
Culture
Though not universal to all locathah cultures, many have attracted reputations for inquisitiveness and gregariousness, in large part due to their historical tendency to be more open to surface-dwellers than are some other aquatic peoples. Locathah often cherish the natural landscape of their seas, especially those who live within coral reefs, and take great care in maintaining and protecting such habitats.
Lifespan
Locathah have an average lifespan of around 70 years. Within their tropical communities there are legends of locathah who have survived over twice this long by maintaining careful, slow lives in colder waters, but most ascribe little truth to these rumors.
