Baurastana (pronounced bar-ah-STAH-nah) is a city in Abanir, located on the western shores of Tomb Lake where the Blue River meets the lake. It lies in the core agricultural center within the Aban, one of the few places in the steppe where large-scale farming is practiced or indeed is feasible.
In Y9976* a devastating plague struck Baurastana, driving away the usual caravans traveling along the Hundred Days Road that otherwise tend to stop at the city to restock on supplies.
