Shar Hrama (pronounced SHAR h-RAMA) is a shar, or fortified city, in Abanir. Nestled into the northern foothills of Mhakan's Trials, it is relatively isolated from the broader steppe, visited by few aside from those who have deviated significantly from the more often-traveled route of the Hundred Days Road.

A significant part of Shar Hrama's fortification are natural - the settlement is built under a massive overhanging cliff that eventually narrows into a cave in the mountainside, around which large stone walls have been constructed. As a result the community is almost entirely in darkness and without natural light, save for specific hours of the day where the sun is able to find its way through gaps between the overhang and the walls.

Originally only a small, temporary encampment used by several human targai tribes of the steppe, the walls and densely-packed buildings of Shar Hrama were built after the arrival of one of the tribes of the Urkhaim who split off during their trek north in the late ninety-sixth millennium.
