Diverging from the Cage, the Akinak Mountains run northeast across the Uxtamazata Desert, effectively splitting the desert in two. Though somewhat shorter and relatively less imposing than the rest of the Cage and associated ranges, the Akinak Mountains are still rugged and hazardous to cross.
