Iruxi is a family of closely related languages spoken by lizardfolk across Kishar. While often considered a single language by non-lizardfolk, in reality there is variation between Jotun dialects, though rarely to the degree that they lose mutual intelligibility. To a degree this is linguistic similarity is aided by the relative lack of mass migration of speakers of the language, who have by and large remained near Lake Nulukkhaz.
Despite the spoken similarity between Iruxi dialects, there remains no standard writing system for the language family, with many lizardfolk tribes having their own signs used to record their words.
