The Ashara Peninsula (pronounced ash-ARR-ah) is a peninsula in southern Amshan, south of the Isturraka River. Though rather more verdant than most of the nation, its craggy landscape divides its forests into isolated pockets that are difficult to travel between, which has historically impeded both travel and settlement. Still, some of the oldest known inhabited sites in Amshan, including Oxeian and Zura-Kara, are found on the Ashara Peninsula.
