Vaumena (pronounced vow-MEH-nah) is a city in Amshan, located on the north fork of the Hvar River to the northwest of Hashkaman. It served as the capital of the realm of the Tyrants millennia ago, built up around their many palaces, all of which now lie in ruin buried beneath the modern city. The ruling Shindaran clan refuses to allow any to delve into these ruins out of fear they will unleash some ancient evil or unearth dangerous artifacts.
