Etera (pronounced et-AIR-ah) is a city on the southern coast of Hinthial, located at the mouth of the Leithrumeri River. The city is built within the remains of an aerolith of the same name, which was intentionally landed at its current location just offshore from the mainland over three thousand years ago.
Together, the aerolith and the city form a small artificial island. The old structures of the flying city remain partially in use, though in many places they have been built on top of in a more naturalistic style. Aquatic elves live in the waters around the perimeter of the city, including some within the submerged interior of the aerolith itself.
