Itzal (pronounced IT-zahl) was a locathah pirate whose ship wrecked in the Soul's End Islands sometime around Y9930*. Itzal eventually joined Andan Cuyucha's pirates at the Refuge, but kept his mortality as he refused to drink the demon's blood. When the mutineer cultists took over the refuge, Itzal initially remained with them before leaving on his own.
After a group of adventurers arrived in the archipelago in Y9976*, Itzal joined them in retaking the Refuge. The ritual he cast eventually banished the demon back to the Abyss, freeing the islands from its influence.
Along with Azul Lazuli, Itzal remains in Meklaw after returning from the Soul's End Islands.
