Description

Huzrotho is a massive creature, roughly the size and shape of a large whale. Four large, straight horns protrude from its eyeless head, and a row of sharp spikes runs down its spine. Its flippers are nearly completely skeletal, with only the bones, blood vessels, and scraps of muscle remaining. Deep gashes, puncture wounds, and other injuries cover its body, constantly healing and then reappearing at an observable speed.

An obscure and little-known demon, Huzrotho's origin and history prior to his arrival in the Soul's End Islands are unknown. How it came to be in the Material Plane is likewise matter for speculation.

Blood

Those that consume Huzrotho's watery blood are given an odd form of immortality. Aging no longer affects them, and they are returned to a youthful stage of life. Injuries can still kill, however. The blood of those that imbibe is slowly replaced by the demon's.

Though they cannot be harmed by aging, drinkers of Huzrotho's blood remain as vulnerable to physical damage as they were previously. Rather than healing severe damage, however, their bodies gradually drop anything too difficult to naturally repair. Eventually this results in the distinctive look of Huzrothan cultists, where entire limbs end up free of flesh and muscle yet somehow still completely capable. At the extreme end, they can survive in some form with only a skull and brain.

In addition, consumption of Huzrotho's blood seems to be associated with persistent hallucinations about the nature of the demon and one's self.

Location of worship

Prior to Y9976*, Huzrotho had a large cult amongst the pirates shipwrecked in the Soul's End Islands. The demon had become entombed under the Refuge, a dormant volcanic island in the archipelago, where an unholy shrine was then constructed.
