Harakar (pronounced HAR-ah-car), or Barazan Sign Language, was developed as a way to convey important information in emergencies underwater, particularly in cases where sound or extensive movement might not be possible. As a result, the language is designed to be signed entirely with a single hand, and concepts that have to do with surviving underwater are the shortest and simplest to convey.
