The Some Call Us Outsiders is a Pelesetian ship within the West Horizon Fleet. Prior to joining the West Horizon Fleet in Y9969, the Some Call Us Outsiders and its sister ship Some Call Us Friends were independent, unaffiliated with any nation. The captains of the two ships, Trebatia and Myrrhina Isauricus, are members of an influential Viridian senatorial family. The siblings either commissioned or commandeered the vessels, depending on who one asks.
Built in the grand shipyards of the Halakran port of Harpasus, the Some Call Us Outsiders originally was a well-made if typical Chaskan galley. In the years since its first voyage the ship has been heavily refitted, torn apart and rebuilt as a fast scout ship. The Some Call Us Outsiders is entirely lacking in armaments aside from the ram on its prow, and is greatly limited in its cargo capacity. Unable to carry enough supplies to operate independently for longer than a few days, the Some Call Us Outsiders must remain near its fleet or a port in order to resupply frequently.
While the Some Call Us Outsiders is seen by many as the possession of Trebatia Isauricus, she does not use this status to abuse her position as captain. Though other ships in the West Horizon Fleet are rather less democratic than is the norm in the Union, Trebatia regularly convenes open votes amongst her crew.
