Meroitic (pronounced mare-oh-IH-tic) is a regional language spoken primarily by the population of Khapesh. An evolution of the older and now entirely scholarly Demotic language, written Meroitic has a reputation as difficult to learn due to the practice of not writing vowels and requiring them to be inferred.

Meroitic is also used outside Khapesh by people living around the eastern coast of the Chaska Sea and the northern Kilche Sea, most notably within Akhom and Rudamun.
