Targai (pronounced TAR-guy) is a regional language spoken primarily by the inhabitants of the Aban Steppe and surrounding regions, including Druzda, Yurukan, and Rovakhit.

Though each individual word in Targai is typically quite short, speakers of the language form these into compound words that can be truly massive. Long sentences can be contained in two or three words, which are then often contracted if they are common terms or phrases of speech. When interacting with those who do not speak Targai as their first tongue, however, most speakers understand the difficulties of such tendencies and refrain from doing so in order to make themselves better understood.
