Nehebkau (pronounced neh-heb-COW) is a town in central Xatabra on the southern shores of Lake Nulukkhaz. Once the southernmost extant of Khapeshan territory, the desert kingdom has long since abandoned the settlement, and for the last three thousand years its primary inhabitants have been lizardfolk.

Ancient Khapeshan tombs rise out of the marshes around Nebehkau, sandstone monuments jarringly out of place in the surrounding landscape. They have nearly all been vacant for centuries, however, the bones of those once interred removed by lizardfolk shamans for spiritual and ritual purposes.
