Emerald Waters is a town in southwestern Xatabra, located along the Keteze River. The name of the town comes from the many oxbow lakes nearby, all of which are permanently covered by a layer of floating plants. Emerald Waters itself is quite small and largely abandoned for half the year during the wetter months. In these times its inhabitants depart for lands less flooded, mostly within the foothills of the Skysprings to the south.
