The Allani Forest (pronounced ah-LAH-nee) is a large woodland in southern Amshan, its ancient hardwood trees unusually verdant compared to the arid landscape that characterizes most of the rest of the nation. The forest is located south of the Ashara Peninsula but north of the Khalhu River, hugging the coast of the Kirnashal Sea.
Long the home of many trolls, including the remarkably orderly fortified city of Shu'truk, few others live in the Allani Forest, even as populations south of the Isturraka River have overall grown markedly in the prior centuries.
