The Suzerain's Scales are a major mountain range that dominate the landscape of central Kea Racha. Most of the mountains lie within the territory of Sangiran, but parts are also contained within Langkha to the northwest and Kintaka to the east. Kea Rachan legends hold that the Scales are formed from the thousands of dragons that have succumbed to old age on the island, in death turned into something even larger than they were in life. Certainly the mountain range has a long and enduring association with dragons - it is the stronghold of the dragon-judges of Vua Ran, and has for millennia borne the name of the long-time draconic ruler of Kea Racha.
Compared to the rest of Kea Racha, the Suzerain's Scales see markedly more seasonality in weather, owing to the high elevations of the mountains and valleys. Snow is common for much of the year, especially on the highest peaks.
