The Lake of All Futures is a large lake in the jungles of central Sangiran. Once considerably smaller, it was widened by an immense labor force on the order of the Eternal Suzerain, who wished to have the lake meet the food and spiritual needs of the denizens of the capital city they soon intended to build. Construction of this capital, New Era, was begun on the shores of the lake soon after the basin was filled with water summoned from the clouds.
Despite its size, the Lake of All Futures is shallow throughout, rarely more than fifteen feet deep.
