Hunger Stone is the fortified palace complex of Emerald Sun, one of the most powerful aeon-kings of Tazak. The settlement itself has quite a small population - only the aeon-king himself and his most trusted servants - but is circled by a number of small villages that collectively provide the palace's inhabitants with the resources and corvee labor they require.
Situated on the edge of a tall cliff, from atop the walls surrounding Hunger Stone the surrounding landscape can be surveyed to quite some distance. Within these walls sit the palace, a remarkably small edifice of black and white marble. Magical wards applied over Hunger Stone make it difficult to find if one is not already aware of its presence, as it is only visible within three feet of its outer walls and it cannot be scried.
