Catfolk are one of the major ancestries found on Kishar.
Appearance
While the basic physiology of catfolk is universal, that of humanoid felines, there is much variety in the details. They vary widely in fur color and length, or whether they have fur at all, just as they do in the traits exhibited by their ears, tails, and other typical cat-like features. Broad collections of traits in catfolk populations tend to be, but are not always, regional in nature.
Location
Catfolk are most prevalent in the Spine, and especially in the eponymous mountain range central to that continent's geography. They live across much of the Three Great Seas as well, with particularly large populations in the south, from Brightmarch in the west through Talmithe in the east, and around the Taizzan Expanse. Elsewhere only much smaller populations of catfolk can be found - small numbers live in the Land of the Sun and Moon, and almost none in the Wounds or the Stormlands.
Lifespan
Catfolk generally have a maximum lifespan of around 60 years.
