The Spine is a major region in the southern hemisphere of Kishar. A massive transverse mountain range runs the length of the continent, separating the colder and largely unpopulated south from the hot and humid rainforests of the north. To its western edge lies the Shatter, an island chain created by a major asteroid impact long ago. Historically the Spine has been split between various major empires and their fragmented successor states.
