Haltiat (pronounced HALL-tee-at) is a small village in northern Rothurland, nestled at sea level in the shadow of a frigid fjord. The community is entirely dependent on the sea for sustenance, with most making their livings as fishers or seal hunters. Haltiat would be unremarkable, much alike is it to a number of other northern Rothurlandic villages, were it not for the presence of a centuries-old fleet sunk in the waters of the fjord. Believed to be the fleet of the legendary jarl Audor sunk upon his death, the ships are remarkably well-preserved due to the icy conditions in which they have lain for the last at least five hundred years. The inhabitants of Haltiat stridently protect the sunken fleet, as they do not wish any outsiders to interfere with the ghosts that still dwell within them.

As of Y9976* Haltiat falls within the jarldom claimed by Skoglar Twice-Cursed.
