Foran Gravash (pronounced FOE-ran grah-VAHSH) is the Malavischan Arch-Priest of Prevela, both a civic and religious leader of the Koritanite capital. Though the position of Arch-Priest is not hereditary, Gravash is the third in his family to hold the role, and given his exemplary performance and dedication to the monarchy it seems likely his eldest daughter Dulug Gravash will eventually succeed him.
Under Gravash's leadership, Prevela end its almost two century-long project to remake the city in a new, more orderly image. Though many inwardly chafe under his strict rule, the nobility both within the city and around the kingdom largely credit Gravash's intolerance for the typical posturing and self-aggrandizing of Koritianite upper classes for finally bringing the effort to rebuilt the city to its completion. Many, however, still consider his order to execute the former overseers for corruption to have been excessive, though they dare not express such ideas publicly.
An extremely devout Malavischan, Gravash has funneled immense resources towards the inquisitors of the Order of the Black Swan, using them to quell the first signs of religious or political dissent in his city.
