Eusarrag centaurs (pronounced oo-SAHR-rog), or solar centaurs, are a camelid centaur people native to the Sarrag, or the Blue Desert.
Appearance
Eusarrag centaurs have the general appearance of dromedary camels with the torso and head of a humanoid. Considerably larger than their kin with the lower bodies of equines, elk, or antelopes, Eusarrag stand around six feet tall at the shoulder and with eight to nine feet at eye level. Well-adapted for the dry environments in which they live, they can survive without water for long periods, which allows them to cross the Sarrag with ease on journeys others might find exceptionally challenging. Most have one hump, but less common are two-humped Eusarrag - these also typically have longer fur than their one-humped kin.
Location
Nearly all Eusarrag centaurs live in the Sarrag, also known as the Blue Desert, which encompasses most of the island of Angan in the Land of the Sun and Moon. A rare few can be found around the broader region, yet they are effectively unknown elsewhere on Kishar.
Etymology
The name Eusarrag, in the language of the centaurs, means "walker of the Sarrag" or "walker of the Blue Desert".
