House Sakan (pronounced SAH-kahn) is an Amshani clan. Its leader, Artaxshira rel Sakan, is also the reigning dynast of the nation. The house has held the throne for the past four centuries, after first taking control in the midst of a power vacuum. Dynasts of the clan have generally been well-regarded, largely for their continued support of the arts and their sponsoring of immense public works projects. More controversially, the dynasts' focus on expanding the colonies on the northern coast of the Kirnashal Sea have gained them both allies and rivals in other clans.
Though historically a minor power in the Parsua province, after first taking the throne House Sakan relocated their power base to the capital Hashkaman in the Marhasi province, as is tradition.
