Charax (pronounced CARE-ax) is a fortified town on the southern coast of the Chaska Sea. The town is built on top of the remains of an elven aerolith that fell from the skies at least two millennia ago. The elves who account for much of Charax's population have repurposed the flying city's defenses into a stationary fort, a large set of metal fortifications that are utterly out of place in the surrounding coastline.
The Eunomia Fleet of the Peleset Union docks at Charax somewhat regularly. Aside from Pelesetian ships and merchants from nearby Arsenoe, the town sees few visitors.
