Chervan (pronounced SURE-ven) is the capital city of Izgrev. Located on the banks of the Byala River, Chervan is the second largest city in the nation, behind only Imorkan.
Unlike almost all other settlements in Izgrev, the senatorial families have not delegated rule of Chervan to local leaders, but rather continue to govern it directly themselves. The presence of the legions, especially the Seventh Legion, is something taken for granted by the inhabitants of the city - the Viridian military has maintained permanent outposts in and around Chervan for decades.
