The Dead Salt pirate faction is a now-defunct faction within the Blacksand League. The faction leader, Rattin Melah, died in Y9952*, after which most of the remaining captains formed the Orange Lotus Fleet.
Many of the Dead Salt ships made heavy use of undead laborers, something that occasionally caused tensions with other crews of other factions.
