Kobolds are one of the major ancestries found on Kishar. Often somewhat reclusive, these small draconic peoples tend to band together into societies of their own, often seeking out a strong one of their own, a dragon, or other benefactor for leadership.

Appearance

Though all are small reptilian humanoids, kobolds can vary widely in appearance. They often take on forms reminiscent of those of giants, wyverns, drakes, or even linnorms. These appearances tend to be, but are not always, regional in nature, such that different groups of kobolds can easily identify each others place of origin.

Location

Kobolds can be found all across Kishar. They are especially prevalent in the Stormlands, yet sizable kobold communities and tribes also exist across the Three Great Seas and the Spine. In the Wounds, however, they are far less common.

Kobold settlements usually, though not always, exist separately and in parallel to those of other ancestries - integration into other societies is infrequent.

Culture

Kobolds commonly have reputations as tinkerers and inventors who are resourceful and adept at making do with that's at their disposal.

Lifespan

Kobolds generally have a maximum lifespan of around 50 years.
