The Exhortations to Philosophy is a Pelesetian ship within the West Horizon Fleet. Recovered from a scuttled wreck in the Coldwind Islands, the Exhortations to Philosphy is a Rothurlandic longship, an uncommon ship type within the Union. Despite its relatively small size the ship is often used as a transport, especially when the fleet needs supplies, and is therefore a common sight in the ports on the north side of Meklaw.
