Victory Inscription at Hayasa-An
By an unknown scribe
Inscription on a large rock outcropping near Hayasa-An, in modern Pasuhalta & Kamman, written by order of an unknown warlord, thought to be perhaps Ammuna Sidar, Erkhazosalre, or one of their contemporaries. The inscription was written in a now-lost language related to Chaskan - the translation below is the best guess of Viridian and Katerran scholars. Certain parts of the text, most notably names, were defaced at a later date.In the name of the sun of the west, I, a great king, [inscription defaced], have conquered this land for the Bull and the Lion and the Falcon above all, such that no soil before the mountains will be untouched by the sun.
I, a great king, [inscription defaced], have subjugated the ashen tribes, the blue-winged tribes, the tribes who see the moon, the tribes who worship in the snow, and the tribes who rode their horses out of the river. This I have done in the name of the sun of the west.
I, a great king, [inscription defaced], have conquered the spring-shrines, the hunting grounds of the north, the (bloodied? burned?) hills, the storm-razed river, and the lands of the mammoth-raiders. This I have done in the name of the sun of the west. May what I have done be protected and preserved by the Falcon above the sun.
[extended section of the inscription defaced]
