Humans are one of the major ancestries found on Kishar. They are found worldwide, in almost every region and nation, and are widely known for their ambition to explore and conquer.

History

The origins of humans are still intensely studied. The prevailing view is that the first human communities and later nations within the Three Great Seas formed on the eastern shores of the Chaska Sea, in modern-day Dalbanu or perhaps Tamkaranu, before they eventually began the migrations that would lead to humanity's current status. The many ancient sites and ruins of the region provide credence to this hypothesis, but there remain open debates as to the matter, especially as there are equally old locations in Kea Racha, within the Laqto Rainforest, and around the Gulf of Timakal that also show clear signs of human habitation. Elsewhere on Kishar human societies arose separately.

Humans have historically been viewed by individuals of other ancestries as expansionists with a ceaseless drive for territory and wealth. While many of the largest empires and states on Kishar have been led by humans, they are by no means unique in this behavior.

Location

Humans live around the world, at every latitude and every longitude. They are perhaps the most widespread of any ancestry on Kishar, and certainly the greatest in number.

Culture

Individuals of partially human ancestry, such as half-elves and half-orcs, often but do not always consider themselves to fit in better with the cultures of their human side.

Lifespan

The average human can expect to live to a maximum of around 80 to 100 years.
