Hernag Stonelegs (pronounced HER-nag) is a Rkundi dwarven librarian and curator who maintains the library and archives in the city of Astakar. Stonelegs is afflicted with an advanced-stage case of creeping stone disease, though he uses magical devices like a walking chair and book pickers to continue to perform his role competently.
At least two of Stonelegs' past apprentices have abandoned their role, at least one of which joined a cult of Edri in their temple-ruin near Astakar. A staunch traditionalist, Stonelegs sees the departure of these apprentices as not only a personal affront but also a disregard for the city as a whole.
