Ayavin (pronounced EYE-ah-vin) is a tengu city in the mountains of northeastern Meklaw. Though never large in size or population, Ayavin has for centuries been an important religious center to worshipers of the gods of the tengu pantheon. Constructed around a cluster of hanging monasteries and temples of the style more common in the Ancas Mountains to the west, much of Ayavin's population works to support the temples of the community. These holy sites are collectively visited by thousands upon thousands of tengu each year, who make the perilous trek up the mountains to seek the wisdom of the priests, monks, and diviners.
